CPTED-Rated Cities
How safe is your city to live in, street by street?
A project of the Safer & Sustainable Cities Initiative, an ISAC Foundation centre. Our commitment for 2030: 5 CPTED-Rated Cities.
The need and who it serves
Design prevents more crime than cameras, but almost no Indian city has a map of where and why its public spaces feel unsafe. We train auditors, publish the standard and map cities with their municipal bodies.
- Who it serves
- Residents, city bodies, transit operators
- Where
- Indian cities, by municipal partnership
What this project does
Student auditors trained in CPTED map a whole city's crime, design and technology on layers, rate every ward A to E, and show residents, cities and police what to fix.
