Our Work
Protecting culture and heritage
The defining works of comic culture and the creators behind them permanently recorded; the next generation credited from their first work.
Led by the Culture & Creative Economy Initiative, an ISAC Foundation centre. 3 commitments for 2030.
The problem and who we serve
Comics are the most read and the least preserved part of a country's story. They were printed on cheap paper and thrown away once read, publishers closed and sold their stock for scrap, and most creators were never credited, paid for reprints or recorded. We find each country's comics, scan them to archival standard, record its defining works and give every creator a lifelong record, free for anyone to read.

Creators Recorded
Documenting the lives of comic creators, before they are forgotten.
With sponsors, we find the artists who drew a country's comics, travel to their hometowns, interview them and their families, and record each life on World Comic Heritage.
Our 2030 Commitment: 5,000 Creators Recorded
World Comic Heritage Centres
A home for a country's comics, open to everyone.
Three centres, in India, Europe and the US, each a museum, an archive and a library. Sponsors give a space or fund the build.

Defining Works
The 100 comics that shaped each country's stories.
In every country, World Comic Heritage finds the 100 comics that shaped its stories, archives them and records the people behind them, then brings them together into one global 100.
